Heather Dowling is an Education Professional originally from Devon in the UK, but her home is now in Brisbane, Australia with her husband and two children. Heather creates eLearning solutions that improve performance, and also alcohol ink artwork. She finds working with alcohol inks is a calming, organic process, allowing the pigments to blend and merge as they dry. Her work is usually abstract, and always vibrant. Some pieces start with an idea sparked by the natural world, whilst others evolve more organically as the ink dries. Many of her pieces reflect the aquatic environment and Heather’s love of Scuba Diving, whilst the Australian and UK Landscape are other frequent subjects.
